This document describes the Telescript object-oriented programming language. When finished, it should fully explain the syntax, classes, underlying concepts, and supporting mechanisms of Telescript. It's intended both as an introduction for programmers who have never used Telescript before and as a reference for programmers who are already familiar with Telescript.
This document is a work in progress, posted here before its completion so you have access to information that will help you program in Telescript. Chapters 2 through 11 are fully finished chapters, have undergone full review, and are technically accurate. Chapters 1 and 12 are first-draft chapters that have undergone partial review; they may contain a few technical inaccuracies. The remaining chapters, 13 through 34, are in outline form only. Many of the outlines are substantial and provide a structured look at knowledge you need to understand Telescript. They've undergone only a brief review, however, and may not be completely accurate. For a precise and full description of the Telescript Language, consult the Telescript Language Reference, which is the specification for the Telescript language.
