Subject: MCW and TeleScript?

I found no words about TeleScript inside the product announcements of
MCW. On the other side some screenshots show TeleScript features!

Is TeleScript built in MCW or will it be?

Dear MAGICCAP@BROWNVM.BROWN.EDU,
Can someone help me? I have a pic 1000 and magic exchange on my pc. I
recently purchased the pic 2000,when I try to back it up it gives the option
to specify the backup name and then the hat just spins around on the screen
of my pc and it never happens,I have no problem backing it up to my sram card
but have been unable to back it to my magic exchange, could it be the
different versions of magic cap?If you have some info please let me know.....

Dear MAGICCAP@BROWNVM.BROWN.EDU,
I wanted to ask for any help that may be offered for the following
question's.
1. For the magiclink by Sony is the memory card that we must by a sram card,
or a flash card? Is their any difference between them, & what is the
difference if any? Does anyone have 1 for sale at a good price?
2. What type, or brand can be used for the sony magiclink? I remember reading
that you could use the newton card on it I think.
3. Does anyone have any freeware games they can mail me? I would love a 1
player vs. Computer chess. The mail version doesn't really intrigue me, or
any other types of free games?
4. Is it possible to download a gif, or picture sent to me if I'm using a pic
1000? If so how?
Please if anyone can help with these question's I would appreciate it. The
games I'm looking for are others besides the one's offered by the web pages.
                                                     Thank you,
                                                                       Mark

Dear Magic,
If you can successfully back up to the card, try transferring the back p to
the pc via MXChange.

Dear MAGICCAP@BROWNVM.BROWN.EDU,

I was told that flash ram can't be used in the Sony ML, only Sram.

Saving to sram is quicker than on flash ram.

Although flash had always been cheaper than s(tatic)ram, you can get good
prices on sram now. Someone told me about Reboot Electronics in NJ. They
have sram 1meg cards for $35! I'll have to look for the number, but I
ordered one and received it in 3 days. I'm in NY

Just keep letting the hat spin, it takes anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes to
complete. We're spoiled by the short time it takes to save to a memory card or
main memory. Actually it's faster to make a full backup to main memory or a
card and then to transfer it to your pc via magic exchange.

Dear MAGICCAP@BROWNVM.BROWN.EDU,
I wanted to thank everyone for the help they offered for my problem's. But as
all thing's go I have more question's to ask. I hope someone may be able to
help with these question's.
1. If I make a single back-up to my pc using x-change for a item can I then
throw the copy of it away. Because I do have a back-up of that item? Also, is
it possible to back other items up such as the av remote, or other items from
the main memory to free memory? I don't use this, so I wanted to get the free
space that it takes up.
2. Does anyone have sram cards that work on the sony magiclink for sale at a
reasonable price?
3. Is their any sort of help to add light for the pic1000? I have the notion
that a clip on book light might work. I love the magiclini, but couldn't see
paying another $500 for a back light, & 1mb of memory more.
Please mail me back with any help anyone may offer.
                                                  Thank you,
                                                                    Mark

As far as I know, there is no way you can free up the space the AV Remote
uses and other things on main memory, they are on ROM, and I tried to make
a backup --> it didn't work for me!
Nothing located in the main memory you can backup because it is ROM - read
only memory

I heard that Itty Bity Book Light from Barnes and Nobles work great!
It worked for many people.

  Julia,

There are several different types of coupons. their purpose in
general is to change an attribute of something. There are text coupons,
used for changing the names of things, or managing text in larger text
fields, graphic coupons that can change the picture on some object,
color/style coupons that change the color or style of text and objects,
etc. Unfortunately, I believe the parade was removed from the
PIC-2000's Magic Cap 1.5 version.

You can remove all references to the AT&T service by grabbing the
Bastille patch from General Magic's website, at http://www.genmagic.com
in the updates and patches area.

There is a command I believe you can send the listserv to tell it to
rebroadcast your posted messages here. Send the word HELP in the body
of a message to listserv@brownvm.brown.edu to get a list of commands,
and other help documents that'll tell you how to do it.

I don't believe its possible to change the order in which name cards
sort in the card file.

The pack option doesn't actually perform a literal compression, rather
it closes the package and removes all references of it from your
communicator.

HTH! :)

  Robert,

I believe Magic Cap for Windows Telescript support is identical to
that of Magic Cap in communicators. Let me double check, though.

For the 1meg SRAM card, call Rebot at 201-457-1980. They have 1 meg
for $49.00 and 2 megs for $69.00. They work well. Hope this helps.
