Does anybody know what happened to Outfitters direct? I just downloaded the
catalog software, but when I dial out to get the actual catalog, it just rings
and rings.

Discussion group members,

1. The Outfitters Direct problem can be solved by calling during the day.
Also, try slowing down the dialing speed.

2. Does anyone know of a database program made for Magicap PICs or maybe one
in development? I really need database functions - Pencell doesn't quite do
what I want.

3. Is there anyway to use PrestoLinks with AOL? I had to sign up with Netcom
to use it. I would rather stay with one service.

4. Can JPEGs be viewed on Pretolinks (when web browsing) without using
UUdecode?

MAGICCAP@BROWNVM.BROWN.EDU,

Does anyone know how to turn the modem volume down on the PIC2000? It is
very loud when go on-line. I'd like to be able to turn the connect noise
down or off. Also, is there anyway to access newsgroups via PrestoLinks?

Thanks in advance for the information.

Maxwatt

No this is not possible, the different devices use a different format on
the
SRAM cards (I think) If you put a ML card into a MP the Newton will ask
if
you want to format the card (or something like that)....

BTW) some of the newton package utilities don't work right with the SRAM
cards.

Dear MAGICCAP List,

Just wondering...is it possible to have information from 2 different
pda's
(like the ML and Newton) saved on the same SRAM card? Would it conflict?

Dear MAGICCAP@BROWNVM.BROWN.EDU,

I know this is a Magiccap group, but why would there be problems using the
sram card in newton? Is flash ram better?

Also, do all sram cards have the same amount of memory in them? When I put
my 1meg card into my Sony ML, it listed slightly more than 1000k; but putting
another meg sram card in the newton only listed at 940k with 2k in use
(despite hitting the 'erase all data' button.)
