Is there an application or technique for keeping text lined up when importing into Link from computer through Magic Exchange. I want to import a simple text file into the notebook, but want the columns to stay lined up (keep tab spacing). Right now everything gets bunched up. p.mchugh@worldnet.att.net

Also, keep in mind that there may be some people on the list who do not (yet) own a communicator but are just testing the waters. About 10% of the people who sign up on our mailing list off our web site do not own a communicator. It doesn't bother me if some people post with multimedia, but keep in mind that you'll be losing some of your audience, particularly if you use ink. -Paul --------------------- Sony New Technologies http://www.sonysoft.com 1-800-739-7337 E-mail: plin@sonysoft.com

I'd like to weigh inthe multimedia telecards for one reason alone: Speed. Until my PIC-2000 can speak to the office TCP/IP Ethernet, it's just too darn slow for getting email except in the morning when I collect my overnight news and web pages for the read on the bus on the way to work. Also, like many other hapless PIC-2000 owners, I bought my unit beliving in my heart that I could simply buy a keyboard for it. HA! Sony can't even GUESS when they may AGAINST EVER have them in stock, and everyone I try to buy one from "just sold it". Until then, it's a pretty (expensive) email, but a totally ineffectual email READER . (PS- This message was written with Eudora 3.0 and may have styles displayed. If anyone can tell me if a Magic Link showed text styling formats, I'd love to know) Martin T. It's possible to use your desktop CPU keyboard to type into the Magic Link, via Magic Xchange. I know this works for the Mac - I don't have any experience with the Windows version. Although this does work for getting text into the Link (for those of us who can type on a real keyboard faster than we can tap out stuff on the screen keyboard and/or scribble in Grafitti), I'll grant you that it's not a very portable solution.Greg Branche Magic Cap Entomologist General Magic, Inc.

Subject: Keyboard, Keyboard, Anybody?
So, in an earlier message I mentioned the complete lack of keyboards for the PIC-2000 (or any other PIC for that matter). I was planning on actually communicating with the magic link, but I've got to tell you that the keyboard link via Magic Exchange must be running at about 45 baud, because I type about 90 WPM and it just can't keep up at all. Is the Windows version any better? Or is this the situation with the thing, and that's it. PS: If you are selling a keyboard, I will buy it. Just send it COD. mf
