Dear MAGICCAP List, Wayne Sanderson made a good point about the underutilization of comp.os.magiccap. I'll cc: postings to there from now on, and recommend we use it for project communications. Rod

I doubt this would happen--I've used these protectors on a variety of devices (Newtons, Zoomers, an OmniGo, a few watches, a GPS-- I hate getting scratches on plastic things :~) ) and haven't noticed anything like this. They don't use adhesives; only static cling and suction (or so they've told me). It is possible that the force required to remove it could be tugging at the mylar layer that's part of the touch-sensitive screen. It might help to remove the protector by pulling it off parallel to the screen, as opposed to yanking upward, perpendicular to the screen. However, I don't recall having any problems when I removed a protector from a PIC 1000 recently. It would be nice if these devices used hardended glass screens like the larger pen computers, but this would require a much different digitizer technology be used, which would probably add to the weight, cost, and battery consumption... +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Aaron Wallace The Internet Factory, Inc. | | aaron@ifact.com http://www.ifact.com | +--------------------------------------------------------------------+

Dear MLinkers, I interested in finding out how people have used their Magic Link on a daily basis. Has life been easier? harder? etc Thanks for your input.

I am into a serious weight reduction on what I carry around. I no longer carry a Think Pad 750c + case + wires, a large daytimer etc. Just the ML and a note pad in a briefcase. Time will tell if this works out in practice but the last week has been fine and this week I am adding the e-mail stuff so things should get even better. That is my main motivation.
