Subject: Presto! graphics question
Hi - I've been encountering a seemingly random problem where messages sent from Presto!Mail to another Presto!Mail user have lost the graphics, and included the message "Some Magic Cap encoded information could not be interpreted and has been discarded. The text portion of the message follows." In a message I received from one friend, the text was in fact included. In a message I sent to some one else last night, even the text was missing. Has anyone else encountered this problem? On other occasions I have exchanged mail with both of these folks, and the messages have translated perfectly. In fact, in the instance last night, I sent two messages to the same person in the same mail session, and one transferred intact while the other lost all the data. Any clues would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Nancy

Subject: Web Mail?
[This message may have contained graphics created by a Magic Cap device on America Online.] Dear Magic Cap Discussion List, Is Web Mail usable on a Magic Link without P'link? How does one set up for requests via AOL? TIA ------------------------- "Sometimes it's as important to take the bull by the tail and face the situation as it is to take him by the horns."

[This message may have contained graphics created by a Magic Cap device on America Online.] Dear MAGICCAP@BROWNVM.BROWN.EDU, Sorry for this, but I want to pick up on a thread that was posted about a week ago concerning getting my PIC-2000 to recognize and format the new GRID 2Meg SRAM cards from Reboot. I got several helpful replies including one that instructed me to power down, slip in the new card, power up, and hit the option key while inserting the new card. I got the message that the card was "locked". More tinkering only got me the message that I should take out the card and move the switch to unlock the write protect (it already was unlocked). Any further suggestions on how to get my ML to recognize or format this card would be appreciated. I'd rather havve the 2 Megs than a refund of the $100. I just got a 2mg from Reboot (and for only $69+) and had problems at first. First they had the tag on wrong for which way to insert the card. Finally, I HELD the option key while powering up and it asked me if I wanted to "format" (in its own manner). After that the card has been operating just perfectly.
