If you call Sony, they can send it to you via ATTPL. If you don't have any luck I can send it to you. --------------------------------- George Hernandez PG&E Research & Development 510-866-5646 grhb@pge.com ----------------------[Reply - Original Message]---------------------- Sent by:Earl NewsomeDear Magic, I read on this list that there was a patch for the pager card on the 2000, if so could someone send it or tell me where I can download it? Magic Cap is just now entering the second phase of its existence, namely 100% superiority over all other similar products! Seriously, although Sony and ATT seem to be backing off on MagicCap (and don't I know it, you can't find a ML-2k in LA for love or money) two factors will once again push MC forward: 1) The release of MagicCap for Windows -- since this program will (reportedly) sinc with handheld MC devises, backups will become a breeze. Further, the possibilities of using MC as a full scalled PIM are coming very close to reality. No other PDA can claim anything near that. 2) The (premature) death of PersonalLink will actually work to MC's advantage. Isn't MC the first PDA op sys to offer more or less full access to the internet? Just my 2 cents, but I think they are worth considering. Curt Steindler

No other PDA can claim anything near that. A number of people in our organization have bought pilots over the last couple months. the pilot offers a very strong sync to the windows desktop feature. All of our pilot users are very pleased with their units, except when I turn the light way down during meetings and wave my mp130 around! >> Isn't MC the first PDA op sys to offer more or less full access to the internet? I have an apple messagepad 130 running the TCP/IP stack. I have a web browser (Newt's Cape) running that I can connect to an external ISP or dial-up into our routers. I am also running a newsgroup reader, a beta version of Newt's Paper. I am experimenting with several mail programs that run on the stack, but have been waiting for Eudora Pro for the newton that I saw demoed at PC Expo before I get romantically involved. I am using a motorola pcmcia card that I can connect easily to a landline or my cell phone. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . /s/ mark heringer HeringerMR@pobox.com MRH's Home Page
