Marketing Services Manager (MK-3)

Reporting to the VP of Marketing Communications, you will be responsible for managing and developing the marketing services group. The scope of your management will include: marcom advertising, direct marketing, channel marketing, branding and partner programs to support corporate product and sales programs. You will also partner with the divisions to devise effective communications strategies for the future. You should have 8-10 years of marketing communications, advertising and direct marketing experience, as well as effect people and agency management skills. Additional experience in the technology industry (specifically software), a BS/MBA, and experience with the internet/web, mobile devices, or PC market, and international marcom experience is preferred.

Public Relations Manager (MK-2)

Reporting to the VP of Marketing Communications, you are the senior manager for the corporate public relations group. You will be responsible for developing and managing PR programs to meet business, product and market goals, managing the image of General Magic among media and analyst communities, and partnering with divisions to devise effective communications strategies. You should have 8-10 years of experience in public relations for the technology industry, have worked extensively with business and trade media, and have strong people management skills, and a proven track record deploying successful PR programs. Additional experience in the software industry, a BS/MBA, and experience with the internet/web, mobile devices, or PC market, and investor relations experience is preferred.

Public Relations Specialist (MK-4)

Reporting to the PR Manager you will be responsible for developing and managing public relations through the product life cycle for one or more of General Magic's products. You will manage trade media relationships, announcements, press tours, press kit creation, product launches and analyst programs. You should have 5-8 years of experience in public relations within the technology industry, experience working with the trade press, have a proven track record organizing product publicity and have agency management experience. Additional experience with the Internet/web, software products, mobile devices or PC market is preferred. B.S. degree or equivalent is also preferred.

Magic Cap Evangelist (MC-54 & MC-55)

Do you want to be a leader, partner, and guiding light to developers looking for the chance to create the future of communication? Have you ever wanted to brandish the hottest software in the melee of developer seduction? If this stirs you, you want, and we need you to be an Evangelist for General Magic. You should be a seasoned, hands-on individual with around five or more years of combined software sales or sales support, product management, software developer relationship management experience. You must have either a technical background or strong software aptitude, and outstanding interpersonal, writing and presentation skills. Experience recruiting, managing, and supporting business partners, especially software developers, will be a great advanatage. An understanding of the business pressures on software developers and what it takes to create a successful product will also be an advanatage. Additionally, experience selling or marketing development software tools, middleware, to corporate customers and developers will also be advantageous.
